Duopody Reflexology

A gentle, in-body approach to supporting stress and anxiety

Who is this for?

Duopody reflexology may be helpful for adults who experience ongoing stress, anxiety, or tension and are looking for a calm, non-verbal, body-based form of support.
It is particularly suited to people who find it difficult to talk about how they feel, or who benefit from approaches that focus on physical relaxation and regulation.

What is Duopody?

Duopody is a unique reflexology technique in which both feet are treated at the same time.
Unlike traditional reflexology, which usually works on one foot at a time, Duopody takes a bilateral approach, allowing the body to receive symmetrical input.

The method is based on the idea that the feet act as a micro-reflection of the whole body, with each body system represented anatomically through specific reflex areas.
Duopody was developed in collaboration with junior doctors and has a strong anatomical framework, grounding the work in clear physiological understanding.

Sessions are typically described as deeply relaxing, structured, and gentle.

How Duopody sessions work

A Duopody session involves calm, steady pressure applied to reflex points on both feet simultaneously.
You’ll be asked to remove your shoes and socks, and then settle comfortably for the session.

The focus is on supporting relaxation and regulation. Sessions are quiet, predictable, and adapted to your comfort and needs.

Some people remain awake and deeply relaxed; others drift in and out of sleep. Both experiences are completely normal.

What is NEPIP?

NEPIP (NeuroEndoPsychoImmunoPody) is an advanced reflexology approach taught as part of the Level 5 Diploma in Applied Reflexology for Integrated Medicine.

NEPIP focuses on the interaction between:

  • The nervous system
  • The endocrine (hormonal) system
  • Psychological well-being
  • The immune system

This approach is informed by the principles of psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), which explores how the brain and body systems influence one another, particularly in relation to stress.

NEPIP is used specifically to support people experiencing stress and anxiety, using conscious intention alongside targeted reflex work.

How NEPIP may support stress and anxiety

NEPIP reflexology aims to support the body during periods of prolonged stress by:

  • Encouraging relaxation of the nervous system
  • Supporting balance within hormonal systems
  • Taking a whole-system view rather than focusing on isolated symptoms

Rather than making claims about outcomes, NEPIP offers a structured, body-based way of supporting regulation, which many people find calming and grounding.

What a session might feel like

People often describe Duopody sessions as:

  • Calming
  • Grounding
  • Gently supportive
  • Physically relaxing

Responses vary from person to person, and sessions are always adapted to how you are feeling on the day.

Professional standards

I am fully qualified and insured in Duopody reflexology, including NEPIP.
Sessions are offered within clear professional boundaries and do not replace medical or psychological care.

Duopody and NEPIP are offered as supportive therapies, not as diagnostic or curative treatments.
