Hypno4Children Support

Gentle hypnotherapy support for children and young people

About this approach

I am a qualified Hypno4Children practitioner, offering gentle, child-focused hypnotherapy support for anxiety, emotional wellbeing, and confidence.

This approach is designed specifically for children and young people, using calm, age-appropriate techniques that help them feel safe, understood, and supported.

Sessions are always adapted to the individual child and offered at a gentle pace, without pressure.

Who this may support

Hypnotherapy for children may be helpful for:

  • anxiety and worries
  • school-related stress
  • low confidence
  • sleep difficulties
  • emotional overwhelm
  • selective mutism and communication anxiety
  • fears and anxious patterns
  • emotional regulation support

My approach

My work combines:

  • a background in education
  • specialist experience supporting children with anxiety and selective mutism
  • mindfulness and nervous system awareness
  • gentle therapeutic approaches focused on emotional safety

Children are never forced to talk or participate before they feel ready.

Building trust, regulation, and a sense of safety always comes first.

What sessions are like

Sessions are calm, supportive, and adapted to the child’s age and needs.

Depending on the child, this may include:

  • gentle relaxation
  • imaginative techniques
  • storytelling approaches
  • calming strategies
  • confidence-building tools
  • nervous system regulation support

Many children engage best when support feels natural, creative, and non-pressured.

Supporting parents too

When a child is anxious, parents often carry a great deal of worry and emotional pressure as well.

Part of my approach involves helping parents understand anxiety responses more clearly, while creating a calm, supportive environment around the child.

Small changes in safety and regulation can make a meaningful difference over time.

Anxiety-based responses often develop as protection, and support works best when children feel emotionally safe rather than pressured to perform.
